I think it's important to remember that striving for excellence often has you slipping on banana peels. Grand achievements do not happen without moments of stupidity and foolishness. Are you worried about looking foolish? Heed the advice of movie character Maude when she says to her overly self-conscious friend Harold, "Go ahead Harold, do somersaults. We've all got the God-given right to make an ass out of ourselves once in a while."
Apparently, I make an ass out of myself more than once in a while. Ooops!
