Giving and laughter are soul mates. Their reward is making you feel good. Laughter is an instant vacation. Giving is a two-week cruise – with pay.

Not too long ago I had a very limited impression of Will Rogers: A cowpoke that would twirl a rope and tell jokes. But all the changed when I read his biography. It was then that I discovered that Will Rogers was one of the grandest figures our country has ever known.

He died in an airplane crash at age 55. When he died he had touched so many lives and accomplished so much that flags in America were flown at half-mast, all radio stations observed a half hour of radio silence, and stories of his death dominated entire newspapers.

  • A syndicated, daily columnist for 400 newspapers worldwide.

  • Hollywoods biggest box office star for more than a decade (he was the star of over 70 films).

  • Host of the countries most popular radio program.

  • A keynote speaker who went town to town by train speaking constantly.

  • An author of over six books.

  • An aviator who flew often during a time when flying was still experimental and dangerous.

  • One of the very first world reporters who flew to the news scene to get a first hand report.

  • A movie producer.

  • A star in the popular Zigfield Follies Show, famous for rope tricks and a popular wit.

  • Roping and riding star of Wild West Shows

  • A talented polo player.

  • A loving husband and father of four.

  • A philanthropist and humanitarian, constantly using his popularity and position to raise money for those in need.

  • A world traveller.

  • A proud Cherokee indian

Will Rogers
(1879-1935)

Will Rogers was all of the above things and more. Imagine one person having so much fun, being so adventurous and accomplishing so much! Will Rogers serves as a wonderful example of a person living life to the fullest. In his own words, "Live your life so that whenever you lose, you're ahead."

The Will Rogers Museum is located just NE of Tulsa Oklahoma on Route 66, in a town called Clairemore. Be sure a check it out the next time you're driving through. In the meantime stop in virtually and be inspired by Will Rogers.
